The Raspberry Pi foundation and Code Club are planning a series of events in Scotland in the Autumn term. Â Dates and venues are still to be announced, however you can sign up right now to be alerted when details are finalised.

Past PiCademy and Code Club events have been well received by participants and events quickly fill up. Â We’d encourage anyone with an interest in using the Raspberry Pi in the classroom to sign up for alerts.
Raspberry Pi have also released a new booklet, which is available in electronic format, showcasing ideas for using Raspberry Pis in the classroom.  You can download it here: http://www.raspberrypi.org/education/magpi-educators-edition/
Indeed, the RaspberryPi website in general is an excellent resource with lots of ideas for lessons and projects showcased in their Education section (http://www.raspberrypi.org/education/). Â Remember that the MagPi magazine is also freely available to download at http://www.magpi.cc.
I’ve personally started using the Raspberry Pi much more in lessons, and am fortunate to have a class set of them following investment from Perth & Kinross council. Â I can’t recommend the hardware, software and educational resources enough whether you just want to add a few exemplars into the course (set up a LAMP server with wordpress for Higher?) or give more able students a challenging project (use a Micro:bit to control a Scratch game!).
Enjoy! (& have a great summer holiday!)
